Irfanview
Another piece of software with two words joined together
but with capital letters maintained. It's also an image editing program
that has a decent slideshow function and is more than adequate for
re-sizing images. I've used it to do all the images on this website so
far.

Open Office This
is a suite of applications that attempts to offer a free alternative to
Microsoft Office and in my opinion it just about acheives its aim. Of
course its not as polished as the Microsoft software but it's more than
close enough to satisfy most users. And of course it's free and open
source...

FTP Commander
I was using Core FTP LE to update the website but then it inexplicably
stopped working so I'm now using this which is okay so far.

TVU Player
A fairly reliable P2P Internet
TV application, relative to others in this genre anyway.
Straightforward to use and to set up. Perfect for following the Chinese
basketball... |

|
Sopcast
Another reasonably consistent P2P TV player. Perfect for picking up the news from Shanghai. |

Tvants For years I couldn't get this application to work as I
wanted it to and installed and uninstalled it several times. I've
recently had a few successes though, perhaps because I recently
upgraded my laptop's memory to 1GB, or perhaps not. |
 | Mp3tag A really
useful application to edit your mp3 tags and embed pictures so that
they look good on your mp3 player. You can edit files in batches too so
this gets a double thumbs up from me. |
